The Dale Artfitch Sportsmanship Award
Awarded to a 4-H Member 8th grade and older who exemplifies specific qualities, voted for by their peers.
Dale Artfitch was a 4-H member in Go Karts for many years. In addition, he was a member of the Finderne Rescue Squad and was instrumental in helping to form the EMS Angels of Central New Jersey. While he enjoyed racing his go-kart and riding his motorcycle, his passion was helping others. On July 3, 2009, Dale entered eternal rest. Dale will always be remembered as a true friend to many-willing to help anyone, at any time, at any cost to himself.
4-H was an important part of Dale’s life, and his friends and family are still involved. They have asked to honor his memory by recognizing a 4-H Member, 8th grade and older, who shares the positive qualities and characteristics that Dale demonstrated.
